The Future is Now when it comes to your Research!

Are you are taking care of the threats to your research NOW so that it doesn’t affect your research tomorrow?

Biomedical Research is a fundamental part of medical breakthroughs every year.   The quality of the research received is proportionate with the quality of the care the research animals receive; therefore, excellent animal care equals excellent research results.  Providing a clean environment is key to excellent animal care and will ensure that you are adhering to the strict Federal, State and institutional guidelines that regulate that care.

ATP biostrategies knows that the well-being of animals used in biomedical research is of the utmost importance to all involved in the research so let ATP biostrategies assist you in validating your current cleaning program, improve and update your processes where necessary and provide you with training and education on best practices.  The goal of the program is to help reduce your risk for an outbreak and help you provide the quality and cleanliness your team, your animals and your research requires to be successful.

What is ATP Testing?

Adenosine Triphosphate, or ATP, is the energy molecule found in and around all living cells, making it a perfect indicator when trying to determine if a surface is clean or dirty.  The amount of ATP present on the surfaces tested can then be quantified by the amount of light emitted during the enzymatic reaction (relative light units, RLU).   If the ATP detection device discovers contamination, the surface can be re-cleaned immediately and retested. The rapid nature of these devices combined with their ability to detect a wide range of common laboratory animal facility contaminants make them an attractive alternative to the current contact agar monitoring practices.
